Sketch 19 - Happy Fall Y'all


It's Fall this week....so let's celebrate it here at Jitterbuggin'! This will be the last challenge for September so the monthly winner will be drawn next Thursday, September 30th. And there is going to be a special contest next month........so be sure to check back next week for the guidelines and details!


This week's guidelines:


1. Follow the sketch!


2. Add a Cricut Fall element: leaves, pumpkins, sunflowers, scarecrows, etc.


3. Add something plaid (remember this can be small.....just a ribbon is fine....)

Sketch 18 - An Apple a Day


An Apple a Day keeps the doctor away.......and it's great subject matter to scrap! This week, we are focusing on apples.......and the colors green/yellow/red.


1. Follow the sketch.


2. Use red/green/yellow


3. Add something black.


4. Include an apple.

Sketch 17 - Going Old School


It's that time of year, and this week at Jitterbuggin' we're going old school. That means back to basics....and for this challenge, that is exactly what we're doing. The sketch is done with a school theme which you can use if you want....or feel free to incorporate any theme as long as you follow some basic rules:


1. Follow the sketch (easy peasy this week!)


2. Show me your primary colors! That means use blue, red, and yellow on your card.


3. Use that Cricut~~

Sketch 16 - My Favorite Things




Happy birthday to me! Yep, today is my birthday and to celebrate, we are going to craft "My Favorite Things!" Frogs are one of my favorite things....and the colors blue and green. So now you know where this week's sketch comes from! I also like to learn new techiniques so I've included one of those as well.

Here's this week's challenge:

1. Follow the sketch.

2. Use your favorite thing as the subject - your favorite animal, your favorite food, your favorite character, etc.

3. Use your two favorite colors.



Don't forget to use your Cricut!

****Added bonus: Here is a great tutorial on how to make a folded paper frame. This would fit perfectly in this sketch so if you're wanting some excitement, add one to your card. Here is the tutorial. ********

Sketch 15 -"Bee" Creative


I don't know about you, but I've got to use up some scraps! So I've created a sketch that does just that. This week your challenge is to:



Follow the sketch! Notice this is a square card....make it square even if that is outside of your comfort zone. 5" is perfect!


Put a Cricut "B" somewhere....notice this can be a "bee" or a "b"...........


Use up some scraps!

Sketch 14 - Born to Be Wild


As you know, I was on vacation last week, and one place we went to was Busch Gardens Tampa. Loved the animals there....and even got to feed and pet a giraffe! With that for inspiration, this week's theme is Born to Be Wild -


1. Follow the sketch - flip it, turn it, but make it show!


2. Add a Cricut animal....or two....or three!


3. Use some stripes somewhere on your card.

Sketch 12 - Oh Baby!

Sketch 11 - Happy Birthday to You!


Who couldn't use a few extra birthday cards in their stash? That's what this week's sketch is all about - BIRTHDAYS! But not just any old birthdays - children's birthdays!


Follow the sketch: change circles for squares, etc. but make it recognizable!!


Make it a children's birthday card.


Include something purple somewhere on your card!
Use your Cricut!

Sketch 10 - In Black and White (with 1 more color!)


This week our challenge is going to be to create a card in black and white. Entries are due Wednesday, July 28, at 11:59 p.m. Top 3 will be entered into the drawing for Sentimentals to be held on July 29. Here's the recipe:


1. Follow the sketch.


2. Use black and white only with 1 accent color of your choice.


3. Use a punch.

This week's theme is pretty pastels. Easy sketch.....and just a few ingredients in this recipe.


1. Use pastel colors


2. Add a Cricut cut sentiment


3. Add at least 1 button

Sketch 8 - By the Sea

I'm at the beach this week, and since I'm surrounded by all this glorious nature, what better inspiration for this week's sketch?!  So this week, use the sketch to create a beach themed card.    Easy, peasy one.....just a few little "musts!"

Follow the sketch:  substitute at will, but it must look like the sketch

Use a Cricut cut of something from the beach.  Animals, flip flops, shells, whatever.......

Use red and yellow somewhere on your card.

Sketch 7 - The Pick of the Litter - a Salute to Pets~~~

Our theme for this week is Pets - use a Cricut cut of your dog, your cat, your fish, even your snake! Whatever your pet is (or you wish it would be), add him onto this week's card!! Remember the rules:

Follow the sketch: flip it, change squares for circles, whatever, just make sure the sketch shows


Use a Cricut cut of your pet.......real or pretend!!


Add some "dots" somewhere on your card!

Sketch 6 - 3 Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue

It's time to celebrate Independence Day....and what better way to do it than to create a Patriotic Card!  Follow the sketch, use red, white, and blue, and add some stars.   Don't forget to include a Cricut cut somewhere.  That's it.......entries are due by Wednesday, June 30 at 11:59 p.m.   Top 3 will go into a drawing to win Independence Day.

Last week had really low participation, but some totally terrific cards!  I couldn't choose winners from all those great cards........so they are all Top 3 this week!!   Congrats, and your names are entered into the drawing for the cartridge.

Sketch 5 - Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

This week we are focusing on those all-too difficult "manly" cards - with a SPORTS theme!  Maybe you need a last minute Father's Day card, a masculine birthday card, or a quick teen card - well, here's the sketch for you. 

Easy rules this week:  
follow the sketch,
make it Sports themed,
add something "Cricut",
and use the color grey somewhere.
